Mrs. Sorrells' 2010 Top Ten Summer Activities List
• Make a dinner for your family (for the little ones, you can have help)
• Wash your parents’ car
• Make a kite from scratch and fly it
• Make a nature map by writing down the types of trees, plants, birds, insects and animals you find in your back yard or neighborhood
• Build a fort outside and sleep in it
• Play a nighttime game of Flashlight Tag with your family or friends
• Make a birdhouse or hummingbird feeder and bring it in for our school garden
• Go “unplugged” for 48 hours – no TV, video games, phones, etc. No electronics!
• Write a story about your favorite summer adventure (if you’re little you can tell it to someone and they can write it for you) then draw a picture to go with it
• Make a puppet and put on a puppet show
